Boxing Historians

My records are extensive and have been compiled over the last 35 years. I have taken every result from the pages of 'Boxing' between 1909 and 1950 inclusive. There are well over 250,000 of these and they form the bedrock of my records. I am always searching through old newspapers looking for additional results and thus far I have found an additional 35,000 results . I am also slowly working through the 'Mirror of Life' to find extra contests.

This work is a slow and laborious process but adds greatly to the quality of my records. I have two good friends, Richard Ireland and Harold Alderman both of whom are proficient boxing historians and with whom I collaborate closely. I am always interested in communicating with fellow historians who have an interest in the subject and am happy to exchange material if it leads to mutual benefit. I am not happy if my records are republished elsewhere without due credit and I am sorry to say that there are a few unscrupulous so-called 'historians' out there who do this.
